This year Kade Concert took place on Sunday, July 3, 2011 during Cultural Sunday. Utrecht choirs, the Cathedral City Youth Orchestra, the New Philharmonic Utrecht and students of the Utrecht Conservatory filled the canal with modern and classical sounds.
The public could walk from the town hall along the old canal to the end of the route; Weerdsingel. The New Philharmonie Utrecht, led by John Leertouwer, played an hour of music by Mozart, with among others, mezzo-soprano Cora Burggraaf. The concert ended with a performance by the Scratch Choir.
Commissioned by Culture Promotion Foundation Utrecht , Livetime Productions took care, as last year, of the full technical production of this public event.
