Commissioned by Culturele Zondagen Livetime Productions took care of the technical and stage production of the Kade Concert in Utrecht.
Despite the bad weather forecast, the third edition of the Kade Concert was a successful Cultural Sunday. At the Old Canal and the Weerdsuis, about 5,000 visitors enjoyed, sailing or walking along the route, classical music in all its facets. During the Kade Concert various ensembles preformed, like the Domstad Youth Orchestra, the Utrecht Blazers Ensemble and the Rietveld Ensemble. All performances had a connection with music city Utrecht.
Approximately 50 large and small boats carried along the route where concerts could be enjoyed at four locations. Also on the quays the audience, young and old, enjoyed the music.
The Kade Concert ended on the wharf at the Weerd Sluis with five different performances: the Música Temprana Ensemble, the winner of the Liszt Piano Competition 2011: Masataka Goto, Insomnio, the Rietveld Ensemble and the Syrene Saxophone Quartet.
